Your stopover just got a tee time.
Flying between North America and Europe? Icelandair lets you stop in Iceland for up to seven days at no additional airfare, in either direction. Fly from one of more than twenty North American gateways (Boston is about five hours away), and you can be on the first tee of a world-ranked links the same day you land.
Three ways to fit it in
- The arrival round. Land in the morning, drop your bags at your Reykjavík hotel, and take the Golf Day pickup in the afternoon. You'll sleep well.
- The midnight round. Arrive in June or early July, have dinner in town, and tee off at ten. Jet lag has never been so useful.
- The departure round. Play in the morning, then head to Keflavík Airport, about an hour from the course. (Airport transfers on request.)
Good to know
- No clubs? No problem. Rental clubs are waiting at the clubhouse, so your bag can stay at home.
- Book the stopover through the "Stopover in Iceland" option when you book with Icelandair, then book your round here.
- Brautarholt is No. 16 in the world on Golf World's 2026 X Factor list, and it's about an hour from the airport you land at.
